PROJECT OVERVIEW
After years of trying to pull their home together piece by piece, and never quite feeling like it truly reflected them, this busy family of four was ready for a complete first-floor refresh. With two parents balancing full-time careers and two energetic kids who love having room to play, we reimagined the finishes and furnishings throughout the kitchen, dining nook, family room, and playroom. The result: a functional, cohesive space the whole family can fall in love with all over again.

PROJECT CHALLENGES
Working within the existing architecture including a step-down family room and a fully open floor plan, meant every decision needed to strike the right balance between flow and function. The playroom’s direct connection to the main living area added another layer of complexity: the spaces needed to feel visually cohesive while still supporting their unique purposes. And of course, storage was at the top of the priority list!
