We utilized every square inch of this 450 square foot garage to create a coastal oasis of a tiny home for our client (and her dog) to have a space of her own while caring for her aging parents.

PROJECT CHALLENGES
This tiny home, also known as an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) needed to function completely independently of the main home, which is a tall order considering all that goes into a home. Fitting a full kitchen, full bathroom, separate queen-sized bedroom with closet, laundry space, and living space into 450 square feet was no small feat!

PROJECT RESULTS
With careful planning, creative solutions, and working closely with the architect and builder, we were able to create a beautiful oasis that no one would guess used to be a garage. Using visual tricks to create the illusion of more space, and mining every square inch for functionality, we maximized this space to create a retreat that our client (and her little dog) can enjoy every day – And, eventually can become a short or long-term rental for an additional income stream.
